This is a collaborative project with artist Tim Norris for Housebuilders Edenstone Homes at a site in the village of Dinas Powys, South Wales combining the public art budget with the LEAP and LAP budget to create a truly bespoke site specific playscape.
The central feature is a Hill Fort approached by steps or stepping logs that lead up to the fort, a timber structure from which children can view the whole space. A wide double slide provides a route down or children can cross the rope bridge to a second tower.
The Amphitheatre provides a focus for community events and is a perfect sunny spot for parents and carers to sit and watch their children play.
A basket swing is an inclusive piece of equipment that is good for every age and ability and the flat seat swing provides a different form of swinging. There is a footpath that wraps around the Oak Tree and further seating. The surfacing is a mixture of eco mulch, wood chip and standouts giving a safe, all weather surface.
