Yesterday we delivered the ‘Book Nook’ to Blackhorse Primary School. We transformed an old caravan to create a reading room for the children to enjoy spending time in with a good book. Having an inviting space outside of the classroom dedicated to reading can go a long way in encouraging children to read and therefore help towards improving reading performance and literacy skills. The design gives a nod to the previous life of the caravan travelling and going on adventures, and celebrates how reading can take you into another world. We love anything that encourages children to use their imaginations and we hope the Book Nook does just that!
