The children at Alfreton Nursery needed a shady space to play with sand and for outdoor dining. The sail shade was already in situ and in good condition but the space around it needed an upgrade.
We used decking and astroturf to provide soft, warm surfaces for sitting on. The sand is retained by cobble filled gabion baskets that were made bespoke to fit the space.
