In Summer 2022 we renovated this Nursery garden for Fremington School, part of the Tarka Learning Trust in Devon.
The garden had drainage issues and multiple level changes that made accessibility difficult and it flooded regularly in wet weather. We installed french drains to improve the water flow away from the building and installed a new rubber mulch surface to raise the level to meet the existing paving.
The new surfacing wraps around the building and provides a new level surface for bikes and trikes.
A large garden shed was removed as it had not shelving and was difficult to organise. It also divided the garden up and prevented a free flow of movement and visibility.
We designed a bespoke storage shed with two sets of double doors and wide shelves for storing boxes of equipment and the space under the shelves is for bikes and trikes.
