We are getting ready to start work next month to transform this space into an inclusive village play space for all ages and abilities of children from 2 to 13 fundraised by the community to provide the next generation with a play space.
Relaxing the mowing regime will increase biodiversity and allow wildflowers as well as grasses to develop. A wildlife corridor has been suggested along the roadside boundary.
The community can add in wildflower plugs to reintroduce flowers and create playful paths and routes through the grass by cutting paths.
Designed with less physically able children in mind we are installing a wheelchair accessible roundabout, Fort with wide slide, swings including a Tango and Basket seat and a Zip Wire all set in a recycled rubber mulch surface.
